The Fantasy Island Theme Park in Ingoldmells has been a familiar landmark on the Skegness skyline since 1993. The Mellor’s Group purchased the 41-acre site in 2016, knowing that major works would be required to regenerate the destination.
At the close of the 2016 summer season, the Mellor’s Group announced a £3m investment in the park, in readiness for the spring 2017 re-opening. With a ten-year plan to continually reinvigorate the park.
Kreative Displays Ltd. Were contracted in early 2016 to take a close look at the whole Fantasy Island site, to establish various ideas for improvement not only cosmetically but using the latest technology to advance the audio, lighting and environmental feel to the whole internal Pyramid, Arcade and Mall areas. This was to include an indoor 18-hole Golf course played over two levels featuring animatronic dinosaurs the largest towering 15m high in to the Pyramid. The theming and lighting of the Golf course was carried out by Kreative Displays.
As well as many other area’s throughout the park from re-thinking of external buildings to commissioning audio, video lighting control systems, project managing all areas from start to finish.
