Kreative Displays Ltd where commissioned with the construction of an Ice Bar to go along side the Alpine lodge at the Nottingham winter Wonderland. This was to be built from 40ft refrigerated containers fastened together so that it could be quickly installed to site and removed after the event.
Work commenced late September on the modification of the containers, after designs where presented and confirmed. The theme was “Winter in the Park”

Kreative Displays commissioned a print company to produce the printed panels that ran around the inside walls of the container, printed to diabond these would cope with the extreme operating temperatures within the containers as low as -14 degrees.
Real tree branches where collected and sprayed white and fitted to the ceiling to enhance the woodland feel then LED pea lights where added to give a magical canopy within the bar.
An Ice sculpting company was commissioned to produce the central bar, various seating and visual sculptors so that the public had a real feel of winter whilst visiting the event.
Motion snowflake effect lighting and colour changing lighting under the ice sculptors where added to enhance the ice and wall panels. Cut logs where added as stepping walkways around the floor areas, these where sunk in to white pea gravel that made up the floor covering. This allowed the cold air to circulate from the chiller units and retain the desired temperature.
